LaundraBlog FAQ

Hello and welcome to LaundraBlog, an interactive forum to voice your ideas and opinions with others. We also hope that you will retrieve information about laundry, public/private use, personal creativity with the LaundraBin and LaundraBin related materials. Some basics about the LaundraBin product:

When was the LaundraBin invented?

The LaundraBin was invented in October, 2009, when a student in Baltimore was instructed to
re-invent a product

Are there any products like the LaundraBin?

No. Unfortunately, there are no products similar to the LaundraBin. This created a need for the LaundraBin. James Lipo, the inventor of the LaundraBin, was tired of "laundry slavery." He proposed a simple system for doing laundry where:

  • Laundry could be easily color coded by the bins themselves
  • Bins could be securely stacked ontop of one another
  • Laundry bins could fit inside and attach to both washing and drying machines
  • A full bin would be indicated at the point where the bins would attach, related to a full load of laundry
Can I use my LaundraBin anywhere?

You can use the LaundraBin for storage, sorting, and transportation of multiple laundry bin units anywhere you want.

Unfortunately, not all washing or drying machines are compatible with the LaundraBins as of yet.

What can I do to make my LaundraBins functional with the chore of washing and drying my clothes?

Vote with your feet. Stop using machines that are incompatible, favor machines that are. Purchase your own compatible laundry appliances for home use. Continue to enjoy the LaundraBins' other useful features-- markets are shaped by demand. Demand LaundraBin functionability!

I want to do more than a full load of laundry, what can I do?

If you want improperly washed clothes, ignore the markings. If you're using an abnormally large set of appliances, simply stack two bins ontop of eachother. It won't hurt to ignore color codes.

I don't own a LaundraBin of any kind, what's the point?

O.K. The point is to have a more stylish set of laundry bins that can fit inside most washing machines and clothes driers and attach securely to both machines and other bins. Laundry is only put into the bin to begin with and removed when everything is ready to be put away-- clean in your home.

We think laundry should be less of a chore, less of an eye sore, and more manageable for everyone.
